I am not able to send my scribbles to my email. Its not detecting the
net connection. And in settings doesn’t have the configure the proxy
settings. I have WLAN in my hostel. Help Me Out.!
Hi Jaswant, my name is RJ Jacquez and I work for Adobe Systems and thus I’m a huge fan of Adobe AIR and I just came across your app, Scribbly, and like it a lot, so I wanted to say hello and telling you Kudos.
As I was using it, it reminded me of MS OneNote, which I used a long time ago and which has the same feel for quickly displaying the app, writing something down and moving on.
Something for your consideration is adding a plus sign, which would enable multiple Scribles so as you may need to take separate notes for different things you are working on, clicking this button would allow you to add another note.
Also, I love the Esc key for hiding Scribbly. Is there a keyboard shortcut for quickly displaying it without having to click the tray? This would be a nice feature, too.
I really like the idea of scribbly. I am having problems getting it to email though. Running osx 10.5.8. I had a couple of ideas for features. Maybe a right-click context menu popup to add to scribbly. I think being about to set a time to send the note later automatically would be great, or have it send when you shut down. Ie, shut down at work or home and it sends automatically. A way to open a new window would be great or a hide button on the window.
I would like to thank you for such a great little app.
I think a great feature would be the ability to clear out the last notes being taken.
Also, keeping the formatting such as if someone was to have separate lines in the text for different thoughts. Rather than when getting the message, they are all bunched together in one paragraph.
Hi there,
it seems Scribbly can be the best way to handle my todos and notes. Just write them down and once a day send them to email, awesome!
In accomodation to RTM online, this could be even more powerfull. The requests I have is to:
1) ‘Do not trim new line characters’. Despite I write down ten notes, each on new line, the mail arrives as one long text…
2) ‘Send plain text email only’. So it contains only the notes and todos.
Downloaded Scribbly from Adobe Marketplace last night. App doesn’t open although icon is sitting in the dock on Mac OS 10.5.2. Icon cannot be removed from dock. Dock icon shows app is open but no screen appears when clicked. Adobe Air v.1.5.2 installed.
Would like to delete Icon from dock and finish app deletion. Please advise.
I just installed Scribbly and it works great. I’ve been looking for something like this for quite a while.
My suggestions:
* Make the CRLF come through as in the email. All the text comes through with no line breaks.
* Give us a way to enter Subject line. I do research in the evenings and use Scribbly to email my finding to work. It would help a lot to be able to give them a subject line to better orginize my findings.
Great app, it is simple to use and quick. Perfect for scribbling notes.
One thing that would make it even faster and cleaner is a “blank slate” button. A button that just deletes everything on the Scribbly pad so you can start with a “blank slate”.
Great concept, especially the email feature. It has already saved me a couple of time from forgetting things.
I am very satisfied with “Scribbly”. The current version is 1.0.0. How do I know when the update of “Scibbly” becomes avilable?
It does not seem there is any button linked to the update on “Scribbly”.
hi Jaswant: I am Wangwei from China. I love Scribbly very much. The only thing is,if i have sent 100 notes to my email box, how could i find the note i want since all the scribbly notes have the same subject “Your Scribbles”?
I really like Scribbly but since I’ve installed the newest version 1.1.0, I can’t send email. Whenever I try, it says “Not connected.” I’ve reinstalled several times, but it doesn’t help. My sister is having the same problem in the USA.
What can we do to fix this? We both really liked sending “quick” emails to each other.
I don’t know if this has been mentioned, but perhaps you could make it so we can determine the subject line of the scribbly emails, so I can better sort through all the messages. “Your Scribbles” isn’t exactly the most helpful of subjects when the messages are already labeled as such by the gmail filters. Thanks for a cool product.
I just installed Scribbly on Windows 7. It should be just what I need – only it’s ‘offline’ and stuck that way. My internet connection is fine. How do I get it to go online? (Hope this isn’t an excessively stupid question.)
but how can i start it minimized in the system tray (at windows startup)
OR
how can i maximize it, when i lanch it (and in the case that it is already in the systray)
Well I just downloaded Scribbly, seems to be a nice app, however it is giving me some problem, when I try to email the scribble, it says ‘not connected’, I have entered my gmail address already.
Would be great if you could evoke and close Scribbly with a keystroke, and “send” the e-mail with a keystroke. Much faster than all mouse all the time. Nice app. Thanks.
I find it’s always been a simple process to just write myself an email for notes I need to remember. Which allows me to paste pictures and links in the note. This seems like its trying to make something simple out of something that is already simple.
Oh, dear, so close but yet still too far! This app would have been perfect if four items were added:
1) If the note could actually be saved as a filetype for multiple platforms (e.g. notes in outlook)
2) If web snippets, video and photos and files could be added
3) If ink support and ink-to-text recognition was integrated as wel
4) If you could also directly send a note with this app to a dedicated smartphone/pocketpc app and that notetaking and saving works both ways.
Then the app would be complete and you would have a winner!
Congratulations on your development of this most useful application.
To me it looks a very worthwhile program and would serve well in a small Home Office Small Business Environment as I understand it at first glance.
Do you have an instruction manual perhaps which can be downloaded? If not, can you answer me my couple of questions if it’s possible please?
1. Can I end the “scribbly” message as a regular E Mail using Microsoft Outlook or such program? Or does it get sent directly from Scribbly and how?
2. Who can I send it to? Is it just to myself on the Desktop, or can it be actually transmitted to other recipients as well?
3. Please show me how
Hi. Love the concept of your app but I can’t get it to work. I have downloaded, it appears on the bottom of my screen, and it opens. But nothing I type is emailed. What am I missing?
During our testing of AIR applications on Linux platform, we identified following issue in “Scribbly” application. Details are
Clicking on save in the settings windows in app Scribbly does not close the window.
How to reproduce:
METHOD:
1. Install Scribbly application and launch it
2. Press ctrl+s to open settings window.
3. Enter email id .
4. Click save.
RESULT:Clicking on save does not close the current settings window
EXPECTED:Clicking on save should ideally close the current settings window as it does on Windows
Based on our investigation, reason for this issue is
“While accessing the settings file (Local Store/scribbly-settings.txt), the path is being provided as an absolute path and that resolves to “app:” – which does not work for Linux. As a result, the settings window is not creating properly thereby resulting in inability to close it as well.”
Can you please fix this issue in Scribbly application ? Please let me know if you need any other clarification on this issue.
Excellent application. Works flawlessly so far (at least version 1). Just installed the newest version and look forward to using it. Any chance you could add a feature to drag and drop files onto the window to add attachments?
It works but how about a little feature without make difficult, like save notes in my pc, or export to outlook or iCal for OSX even better an open code for all, bcs it ll be bored to chek mail by mail all my notes they are thousands, regards
for quite some while I am using your Scribbly to send notes to my e-mail account. First I want to say thanks for this!!
Today Adobe AIR offered me the update to AIR v2.0.2 and an update for Scribbly. I installed both of them. Now when I run Scribbly it produces high CPU load (60-90%) and makes my Win7 system very sluggish and slow. Even if it’s minimized and doing nothing..
Do you have any idea what could cause this? Do you experience the same behaviour when running Scribbly?
Hi, this is a great little program. Just one thing for feedback, it does take quite a lot of CPU cycle time. Maybe you can lessen that somehow, I suspect there’s a tight loop somewhere doing lots of work when it’s just idling.
I have incorporated the new feature requested by you, with some additional functionality. I hope you will like it. Thanks again for your valuable feedback.
Please go to Adobe Market place to get the new version.

Feature request
A button to CLEAR the text in the scribbly
Thanks

It would be good if there was a quick way to activate scribbly once dormant in the system tray with a certain key stoke combination
Yes you can hide scribbly with the ESC key but you cant bring it back again.
A toggle switch would be great
And a toggle switch on menu would be good to change in and out of a bullet text mode
This is a great application
I will be investigating how to get messages to teamworkpm.net or basecamphq.com
this would be a great asset !

hi,
I’m starting with your great application, and I have a suggestion.
I was looking for a application to send my notes to “remember the milk”, and Scribby can do it.
But when I’m opening the incoming email in RTM, the html text doesn’t let me see the message.
Hi,
I have incorporated the new feature requested by you, with some additional functionality. I hope you will like it. Thanks again for your valuable feedback.

Why is it always in front of all other windows? How to take this option off?
Hello kn,
In settings section there is an option always on top, just uncheck that.
I am unable to install Scribble, even though I have update all Adobe programs on my 32-bits Vista, or no matter what browser I am using – even with all security closed. Can you zip and upload your file to http://www.donationcoder.com/forum/index.php?topic=27866.msg264561#msg264561 please?
